Najwa Alghamdi is an assistant professor in Computer and Information Science College at King Saud University. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield. Her thesis work focused on using AI methods to enhance the intelligibility of visual speech. Her research interests lie primarily in the area of speech and hearing technologies and their applications in training and assistive technology. For example, she had led the development of a bundle of auditory rehabilitation solutions addressed to the hard of hearing who are recipients of cochlear implants. Najwa is a member of SKERG and HCI lab.
